Adaptive Subcarrier Assignment and Power Distribution in Multiuser OFDM Systems with Proportional Data Rate Requirement
A low complexity dynamic subcarrier and power allocation methodology for downlink communication in an OFDM-based multiuser environment is developed. The problem of maximizing overall capacity with constraints on total power consumption, bit error rate and data rate proportionality among users requiring different QOS specifications is formulated. Assuming perfect knowledge of the instantaneo...
متن کاملAn Interval Assignment Problem with Multiple Attributes: A DEA-Based Approach
One of the basic combinatorial optimization problems is the assignment problem that deals with assigning jobs to individuals. In traditional assignment problems, n jobs usually assign to n individuals such that the total cost is minimized or the total profit is maximized. However, in numerous real-life applications, various attributes could be considered in assignment problems while data (obj...
متن کاملAlgorithm - Based Low - Power Transform Coding Architectures - Part II :
In the companion paper, we addressed the low-power DCT/IDCT VLSI architectures of linear complexity increase based on the multirate approach. In this paper, we will discuss other aspects of the low-power design. Firstly, we consider the design of low-power architectures that can lower the power consumption at only O(log M) increase in hardware complexity. Next, we will extend the low-power DCT ...
متن کاملIntegration of Optimization Approach Based on Multiple Wordlength Operation Grouping in the AAA Methodology for Real-Time Systems: LVQ Implementation
The Multiple-Wordlength Operation Grouping (MWOG) is a recently used approach for an optimized implementation on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). By fixing the precision constraint, this approach allows minimizing the data wordlength. In this paper, the authors present the integration of the approach based on the MWOG in the Algorithm Architecture Adequation (AAA) methodology, designed t...
متن کاملOptimum Wordlength Search Using Sensitivity Information
Many digital signal processing algorithms are first developed in floating point and later converted into fixed point for digital hardware implementation. During this conversion, more than 50% of the design time may be spent for complex designs, and optimum wordlengths are searched by trading off hardware complexity for arithmetic precision at system outputs. We propose a fast algorithm for sear...
